We are always looking for thoughtful, kind and compassionate people to join us as care staff members here in the Colne Valley. And we know from talking to interested applicants that certain questions occur each time. So we have bundled them into one list below.
If you are interested in working with us as care staff, please do get in touch!
Would I be working alone?
We work as a team but the calls are mostly individual. We offer 2 weeks of shadowing with another team member and then continuous peer on peer shadowing so it’s ongoing. We pride ourselves on team work and creating a culture that is supportive and open encourages how we work together.
Will I have the same service users all the time?
Mostly yes, you will build great relationships with our User Members but we always ask for flexibility to meet new ones and expand on your knowledge with new conditions or support needs.
How many hours a week can you guarantee?
We have guaranteed hours available, depending on what you are looking for. You also get paid travel time and for any training, staff meetings or 1:1 supervision.
What are the hours of the calls or does that depend on the service users needs?

Our minimum call time is 30 minutes. We can have a discussion about what works well for you to keep in mind a healthy work/life balance.
Is there any night work?
No, we don’t offer services at night.
What would be the latest call time on an evening?
Our service hours run from 6am to 11pm so the last call would be 10:30pm
