We would like to invite you to our Society’s Annual General Meeting, which will happen on Thursday 25th November at 7pm.
We hope that you’ll be able to join us – we will hold the meeting online using Zoom.
We are finalising our work with the accountants and preparing our reports for you and will share those alongside the agenda and the details of the call by the end of the next week.
Board of Directors
According to the rules one third of the existing board members are required to stand down at the AGM. These are the longest serving members: Graham Mitchell, Veronika Susedkova and Jan Walters. All three members will be standing for re-election.
We are also welcoming new nominations for candidates to stand for election to our Board. We are keen to encourage members of the society to consider serving as a board member. It’s a great opportunity to get closely involved with our care co-operative and support the development of the organisation into a sustainable operation. We’re particularly keen to receive nominations from people with a lived experience of health/social care, and also looking to strengthen our business and organisational skills across the board. Nominations from people from the black and minority ethnic community are very welcome.
As an organisation that is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) it is important that we have a robust process in place to assess whether candidates are “fit and proper” persons to serve as board members. There’s more information on this in the Board Handbook. If you would like to submit a nomination, please download and complete this application form. Please get in touch if you have questions or would like an informal discussion prior to submitting an application.
It is important to mention that only members of the society can take part in this process – if you are interested in becoming part of Co-operative Care Colne Valley and have not become our member through the community share offer, you can apply to be a member using this form.
Applications should be submitted no later than November 17th. We’ll then run an online election process enabling all members to vote, and the results will be announced at the AGM on 25th November.
Best wishes, and thanks for your continued support.
Everyone @ Co-operative Care Colne Valley
