We are keen that the people who work for Cooperative Care Colne Valley are actively involved in shaping the organisation and how it works. Giving employees a real stake in the ownership of the organisation, alongside the people who use our services, and the members of our community that have come together to fund and support the organisation, creates a powerful platform that we can use together to achieve our shared mission.
If you are an employee and you've successfully completed your probationary period you can become a member and co-owner of Colne Valley Equitable Care Society Limited – the Community Benefit Society that trades as Cooperative Care Colne Valley.
You can apply here using this simple form, or by talking to the office team. In technical terms you are purchasing a single £1 share in the society. This gives you one vote, just as every other member has one vote. You can't sell the share to someone else, and it won't appreciate in value, but you can – if you choose to do so – hand it back to the society and get your £1 back, at which point you'll no longer be a member.
