Distributing a bit of Christmas cheer

Board members delivering Christmas hampers to the people for whom we provide.

In the days leading up to Christmas members of the Cooperative Care Colne Valley team were busy organising gift hampers for all of the people that we care for.

Thanks to a generous grant from local business Dark Woods Coffee (a fellow accredited Living Wage employer), and led by our board members Jan Walters and Chris Herring, we were able to source, assemble, package and distribute the hampers in good time for Christmas.

“Christmas can sometimes be a difficult time of the year, so we’re really pleased to have secured the funding from the team at Dark Woods which has enabled us to spread a bit of cheer.” said Jan, pictured here with our Nominated Individual and fellow board member Sue Richards. “The items in the hampers were all carefully sourced where possible from local businesses, so altogether it’s a great example of local organisations collaborating to deliver a community benefit.”

We’re keen to build mutually beneficial relationships with businesses and other organisations across the Colne Valley area. Organisations can become members as a starting point and to show their support, and we’re always open to conversations about how we can collaborate.
