Care Quality
We are registered with Care Quality Commission (CQC) and adhere closely to the essential standards of quality and safety that they regulate. Through information we supply, and inspections carried out, they ensure our compliance with The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (regulated activities) Regulations 2010.
All services provided directly by CCCV aim to deliver the highest quality care to meet individual needs. We believe that no matter how good our present service is, there is always room for improvement.
We are committed to creating a positive environment for people that use our services, Staff Members, families, and friends.
Every month we will complete audits of our service. The audits are designed to measure compliance with CCCV policies and the Health & Social Care Act 2008. They are structured to cover the five areas for the CQC key lines of enquiry as outlined below:
Is the service safe?
By safe, we mean that people are protected from abuse and avoidable harm. This means that people are supported to make choices and take risks and are protected from physical, psychological, and emotional harm, abuse, discrimination, and neglect.
Is it effective?
By effective, we mean that peoples care, treatment, and support achieve good outcomes, promotes a good quality of life, and is based on the best available evidence. This means that people are supported to live their lives in the way that they choose and experience the best possible health and quality of life outcomes.
Is it caring?
By caring, we mean that staff involve and treat people with compassion, kindness, dignity, and respect. This means that people, their families, and carers experience care that is empowering and provided by staff who treat people with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Is it responsive?
By responsive, we mean that services are organised so that they meet people’s needs. This means that people get the care they need, are listened to, and have their rights and diverse circumstances respected.
Is it well-led?
By well-led, we mean that the leadership, management and governance of the organisation assure the delivery of high-quality person-centred care, supports learning and innovation and promotes an open and fair culture. This means that management and leadership encourage and deliver an open, fair, transparent, supporting, and challenging culture at all levels.
The audits are designed for use by managers to audit the service’s quality and compliance and ensure that in every area audited it is evident that the service is being delivered in a safe, effective, caring, and responsive manner and that overall, CCCV is well-led.
